Preparing Students for
Leadership &
Social Responsibility

The Engaged Life Partnership, established in 2009 as one of the priorities of the Task Force on Undergraduate Education, works to expand and strengthen advising, support and opportunities that inspire us to intentionally chart action-filled lives infused with meaning and purpose, build social networks, and reflect publicly about our learning and social responsibility.

Our programs, events and resources address the social purpose of a liberal education and life after graduation—particularly Careers in the Common Good and responsible leadership. Our academic initiatives, such as the Urban Education Semester in New York City, focus on pressing societal concerns by linking theoretical study with hands-on, practical experience.

Stay tuned for further developments of this new initiative in 2009-2010.

This project is made possible with support from the Island Fund of the New York Community Trust.
