“From my first day of Kindergarten to my past three years at Brown, learning has always been fun and enjoyable. This summer, I had the pleasure of sharing my passion for learning with 90 elementary schoolers at D'Abate Community School's first-ever summer enrichment program.

My ‘job’ was music teacher, but that title doesn't even begin to describe what I did and learned at the school. On any given day, I was a line leader, lesson planner, assistant teacher, playground supervisor, actor, singer, disciplinarian, conversation partner and friend while at D’Abate.

I am so grateful to the wonderful administration at the Swearer Center and the D'Abate Community School, my fellow student teachers and my students for teaching me so much and giving me such an amazing summer. I hope to return to D’Abate either next summer or this year as part of Brown Arts Mentoring!”
