IN THE SECOND DISTRICT JUVENILE COURT

IN AND FOR SALT LAKE COUNTY, STATE OF UTAH

The above-entitled matter came before the Court for trial on a Petition filed March 6,

1986, on the 7th day of November, 1986; the father was present and represented by counsel,

Robert Van Sciver; the mother was present and represented by counsel, Jeff Burkhart;

Melanie Hopkinson, Deputy County Attorney, represented the State of Utah; Ann

Wasserman was present as Guardian ad Litem for the children; Bob Thygerson,

representative of the State Division of Family Services, was also present. All persons entitled

to notice having received notice of the hearing. The parties have stipulated that the evidence

in support of the Petition by the State of Utah could be presented by proffer and by seven

Exhibits; that evidence, on behalf of the father, would consist of two Exhibits, 8 and 9. All

of the Exhibits were accepted into evidence with no objection and the matter was submitted

to the Court for determination. It was further stipulated that if the Court found jurisdiction,

the matter would be set for dispositional hearing, at which time further evidence would be

presented. The court now being fully informed in the premises, hereby makes the following:

FINDINGS OF FACT

1. The birthdates of the children are as stated in the Petition; said children are within the provisions of 78-3a-16, U.C.A., as amended.

2. Said children are neglected in that they have been subjected to mistreatment and abuse by their father, Kenton Stevenson, who has engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with each child prior to September of 1984, to-wit:

a. On several occasions he sexually abused Koren by digital and penile manipulation of her vagina and on one occasion he also inserted the hook of a clothes hanger in her vagina; he also utilized toothpaste in her vagina.

b. On several occasions the father sexually abused Ryne by digita manipulation.

c. On several occasions the father sexually abused Aaron, both orally and digitally. The fathe's sexual abuse included penile manipulation, anal insertion, and oral genital contact.

d. He made verbal threats to all of the children to kill them or hurt then if they divulged any of the behavior described above and the children are extremely fearful of their father.

ORDER

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the above-matter be set for a dispositional hearing on the 19^th day of February, 1987, at 10:30 o'clock; that pending said dispositional hearing, the father is precluded from having any visitation with the children or any contact with them unless it is supervised by the State Division of Family Services.
