Molly earned her B.A. in Theatre and Russian Studies from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University. She is a founding member of the experimental theatre collective the New York Neo-Futurists, with whom she wrote, performed, and directed for the company’s signature show Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, until April 2006. She is the recipient of the 2006 New York Innovative Theatre Award, along with the New York Neo-Futurist ensemble, for “Outstanding Performance Art Production.” Prior to her work in NY, Molly worked for three years in the collaborative performance company, Sirius Theatre under the artistic directorship of Dr. Stephen Haley, former member of the Polish Laboratory’s International Company. She has studied performance at the Experimental Theatre Wing at NYU, the St. Petersburg Theatre Arts Academy, and the Meyerhold Center in Moscow. She was also a participant in Pan Theatre’s 2001 Choreographic Theatre Symposium at Malérargues. Her primary interests are in 20th century Russian theatre, Soviet and Post-Soviet literature, philosophy of education, choreographic performance, and theories of spectatorship.
