Per Janson earned a B.A. in Theatre and English at Grinnell College in Iowa; served as an archival intern at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin; and studied physical theatre at the Accademia dell'Arte in Arezzo, Italy.  His interests include theatre riots, the practice and pedagogy of acting, intercultural performance, and Italian popular theatre forms.  In April, he will present on the photography of Edward S. Curtis at the American Comparative Literature Association conference in Puebla, Mexico.  Per has participated in Brown/Trinity Consortium productions as an actor and dramaturg, and for Trinity Rep he facilitates post-show discussions, reviews scripts for the literary department, and served as assistant director on Hamlet.  He is currently the graduate assistant for the Brown/Trinity Playwrights Repertory Theatre and volunteers as a mentor in Providence public schools.  This semester, alongside classmates Jim Dennen and Molly Flynn, he is rehearsing/researching how not to save face.
