Paige McGinley is currently completing her dissertation, entitled "Sound Travels: Performances of Diaspora and the Imagined American South." She has published reviews of performances by Rinde Eckert and Janet Cardiff, and has written an article on blues tourism in Mississippi entitled ‘Highway 61 Revisited,’ to be published this fall in TDR as a winning entry in the 2006 Student Essay Contest. Her article "Floods of Memory: Post-Katrina Soundtracks," will be published in Performance Research this July. In addition to her work as a scholar, Paige is also a director and dramaturg and directed Michael Hollinger's Red Herring with an undergraduate cast in 2006. Paige has recently accepted a postdoctoral position in the Princeton Writing Program and will begin teaching there this fall.
