TAPS 0300 - Introduction to Acting and Directing

This class explores basic acting/directing concepts from a variety of perspectives including the use of the actor's imagination/impulsivity in the creation of truthful, dramatic performance; the body, as a way of knowing and communicating knowledge; and the voice, as a means of discovering and revealing emotion/thought. Areas of emphasis vary with instructor. First year students only.

Orientation

TAPS 0300 Orientation for 2011 will be held on Wednesday, September 7 at 7:00pm in Leeds Theatre. This orientation is mandatory for all students.

The TAPS New Student Open House will be taking place at the same time and place, so come prepared to learn about all of the theatre opportunities at TAPS.
