Galleries

Exhibitions and openings abound at Brown. Faculty, visiting artists, and students show their work in List and at other locations around campus.

Exhibition Spaces:

Bell Gallery

The David Winton Bell Gallery offers professional artists a change to open at Brown. The gallery is tucked away in the first floor of List (to your right as you enter through the main doors), but artwork often flows into the List lobby.

First Floor

The first floor gallery is one of the best spots for students to open at Brown. This gallery is located in the lobby outside of the large lecture hall at List 120.

Second Floor Lobby

The second floor lobby offers an ecclectic gathering of work from students, professional artists, and everyone in between.

Gallery 221

Gallery 221 is a gem of the second floor. It's spacious post-industrialist interior lends itself to student openings throughout the year.

Third Floor

The third floor houses student openings. These openings, which are relatively rare, consist of concentration openings during the end of each semester as graduating artists prepare for one last opening at Brown.

Fifth Floor

Openings are relatively rare in the Penthouse galleries of List. Normally, the fifth floor is filled near the end of each semester as senior concentrators prepare for their final opening at Brown.
