Susan P. and Richard A. Friedman Study Center

This project is intended to create dynamic and inviting
24-hour student study spaces in the heart of campus, updating the functionality and character of the Sciences Library.

By moving approximately 100,000 books from the Sciences Library to the Library Annex at 10 Park Lane, the bottom three levels of the Sciences Library can be captured as a student study center: Level A will be dedicated almost entirely to study spaces—both collaborative and individual—in addition to Gateway Services. The Ground Floor will host a new café extending out onto the south terrace. The Mezzanine will remain as additional quiet study space

New finishes, furniture, and technology will transform the appearance and functionality of the space.
