Wireless Upgrade Information

The Brown University wireless networks will be upgraded this week, resulting in some downtime in all areas serviced by wireless internet access. The work is being performed to upgrade the network control system, and to increase bandwidth availability.

Both "Brown" and "Brown-Secure" will be unavailable during a 4-hour window while upgrades are applied. Wireless service may be available during these maintenance windows, but should be considered unreliable.

In order to provide maximum availability to as many users as possible, the wireless outages are being minimized in locations within the Brown library system. There will be no service interruptions in the libraries on Monday and Tuesday. We will work to keep interruptions to a minimal extent within the libraries during our service window on Wednesday morning.

Upgrading for the entire campus will take place in stages starting Monday 7/7 and finishing on Wednesday 7/9. Please look below for your location to determine the date and time of your wireless upgrade.
