The photography collection of the David Winton Bell Gallery numbers more than 1500 images. Containing only a few nineteenth-century works, the collection focuses primarily on documentary and straight photography from the 1930s to the present and includes particularly strong holdings of works by Harry Callahan, Aaron Siskind, Berenice Abbott, Danny Lyon, Elliott Erwitt, and Walker Evans.
