The Department of Facilities Management
Custodial Services manages the recycling and solid waste management program.
Collection containers are distributed throughout
buildings and grounds.
Individuals are responsible for getting their
recyclable materials to a collection container. Building custodians
collect the materials and consolidate them at outdoor locations
where an outside company picks them up and processes them for
delivery to market.
If you have questions about the program, or require
a collection container, please contact Recycle-at-Brown.edu.
A Brown instructional video on what can be recycled and how to do it can be found at YouTube
A poster that describes the materials that are
recyclable is available for download here: Dormitory Recycling Poster
