Workflow For Clients

When Graphic Services will be designing your printed piece.

  1. Planning Stage: When planning your project, discuss FSC options, and select paper with a graphic designer or customer service staff.
NOTE: If the project is of a rush nature, or being printed at Metcalf Copy Center, an FSC label cannot be utilized.

  2. Design Stage: The designer will incorporate an FPO (For Position Only) version of an FSC label for color, orientation, and scale consistent with FSC labeling guidelines. Once you've approved the design of your piece and the placement of the FSC label, the project moves to the pre-press stage.
  3. Pre-press Stage: The FPO version of the FSC logo is replaced with the corresponding "live" logo. A pdf of your piece is sent to our certifier for approval. The approval process may take 24 to 48 hours.
  4. Printers Proof: Once the artwork is approved by our certifier, your hard-copy proof will be issued. Once you've approved and returned the proof, your piece will be printed.
