Please note that as of February 1, 2009 the current Office Equipment Program maintenance and service vendor will no longer be IKON Office Solutions. IKON was acquired by Ricoh Corporation. As a result of the acquisition, Canon USA announced that IKON would no longer be an authorized dealer for the Canon office product line.
After careful review in conjunction with the Brown Purchasing department,
it was decided to continue to maintain Brown’s current fleet of Canon equipment
through a certified
Canon dealer.
Based on analysis and positive references, it was determined that NECS, an authorized Canon dealer would be the new copier maintenance vendor for Brown.
There will not be any changes to your maintenance plan. Departments requiring new Canon equipment may contact the Office Equipment Program at 3-1548 . NECS is authorized by Canon to furnish newly released Canon equipment.
An informational sheet is enclosed detailing the NECS service and toner order instructions for Office Equipment Program customers.
NECS will be visiting depar tments in January to tag copiers with new ID numbers. Service and toner order instructions stickers will be placed on equipment beginning Februar y 1, 2009.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Continue to order ser vice and toner through IKON until Februar y 1, 2009 via the sticker information on your copier.
