Camp Descriptions

Uncovering the Past: Exploring Archaeology

Monday, July 21 through Friday, July 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily (for ages 8-12)
Have you ever wondered what archaeologists do? Come and find out for yourself! In this fun-filled camp, you will uncover secrets of the past by examining stone tools and making your own, digging in our simulated archaeological site, analyzing real animal bones, and exploring ancient lives. This camp combines science and art activities that will be sure to stimulate your summer.
Class size: minimum 8, maximum 20

Experience the Cultures of the World

Monday, July 7 through Friday July 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily (for ages 8-12)
Discover cultures around the world. In this exciting camp, we will travel the world to explore cultures of today and yesterday through art, music, dance, food, clothing, and shelter. You will build your own model igloo, make jewelry and masks, taste new foods, learn new dances, and explore life in our wetu and tipi. Become a citizen of the world by learning how similar people are around the world and how exciting their cultural differences can be.
Class size: minimum 8, maximum 20

Camp Cost:

Members $135; Non-Members $160 (per week)
Save 10% by signing up for two weeks/two campers or more!

Extended Care is available from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. for an additional $30 each week.

Our experienced camp teachers are trained in First aid and CPR by the American Red Cross and undergo a background check.

Volunteer for Summer Camp

Volunteers are needed to help with camp this summer. If you like working with children, then this is the opportunity for you. Volunteer for any or all of the above-mentioned camps. We also have three additional private Exploring Archaeology camps that will run the weeks of July 28 through August 1, August 4 through August 8, and August 18 through August 22.
