Notes: Ms. codex. Title supplied by cataloguer. Incomplete Tarascan to Spanish dictionary written in two parallel columns and beginning with the word "pumbacata" and ending with "tzurequi"; also includes philological notes within the text explaining the roots of the Tarascan language. Attributed to Maturino Gilberti in "Fr. Maturino Gilberti y sus escritos inéditos" by Nicolas León in Anales del Museo Michoacano, año 2, Morelia, Mexico, 1889, p. 124-136, no. 1. John Carter Brown Library copy imperfect: first 9 lives are torn and wanting pieces at gutter edge and also burned at upper right hand corner; many leaves have holes due to iron gall ink, causing substantial loss of text; leaf [148] is mostly torn and incomplete; some leaves closely cropped at head of text block affecting word headings.
