Virginia and Maryland, 1673
The Herrman Map

Augustine Herrman’s map of Virginia and Maryland is well-known because of its connection with the involved and bitter boundary disputes between Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, which led eventually to the running of the Mason-Dixon Line in 1767. Herrman’s work provided the geographical basis for maps of this area for nearly a century. Only six copies are known.

In 4 sheets, 31 x 36 3/4", if joined. $50.00.
