Fine Antique Map Reproductions

The John Carter Brown Library holds one of the major collections in the world of printed maps relating to the discovery, exploration, settlement, and development of North and South America, including the Caribbean.

In order to make this material more widely available, the Library has been publishing facsimiles of some of its rare cartographic pieces for over sixty years. Historically significant and striking in graphic impact, these noteworthy maps are valuable for the student of history and have broad appeal to collectors of art and cartography as well.

Quality of reproduction:
Each of the maps listed in this catalogue has been reproduced in accordance with the highest standards. They have been printed at 200-line screen or better—few other makers of facsimile maps can claim this—and their resolution approaches that of the original. Durable stock has been used and the maps in color have been printed with the greatest fidelity to the original. All of the maps are actual size unless otherwise indicated. Measurements are for the printed surface, height x width. Margins are generous and allow considerable flexibility for framing.

Ordering information follows list of reproductions below.
