AJA NISENSON is an actor/comedian/singer/playwright originating from New Jersey. Aja earned a B.A. in Theater Arts with a Capstone in Playwriting at Brown University. Aja’s one-woman show, Piccola Cosi, about her experience as a jazz singer in Bologna, Italy, received critical acclaim and had sold out runs in 2010 at the Triad Theatre, the 2009 soloNOVA Arts Festival and the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival. A trained pop, jazz and opera singer, Aja has sung with renowned musicians in venues all around Italy. She has also worked behind the scenes with the Metropolitan Opera House, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Director’s Company, Voice and Vision and Joe’s Pub. Aja was the recipient of the 2007 Weston Award for Acting and was a 2009 Eugene O'Neill Cabaret Fellow.
