JUDE SANDY (Trinidad and Tobago) studied dance and theatre at Brown University with Julie Strandberg and Lowry Marshall, graduating in 2005 with an A.B. in Africana Studies. At Brown, he was a founding member of Dancing Legacy, the teaching and performing ensemble of American Dance Legacy Initiative and a Weston Fine Arts Award recipient in dance.
Jude is a 2009 graduate of the Brown/Trinity Rep MFA Acting Program and a 2008 alumnus of A Guthrie Experience for Actors in Training at the Guthrie Theater. Theater credits include: A Raisin In The Sun, A Christmas Carol and Paris By Night (Trinity Rep); Caviar on Credit (Guthrie); King John (Guerrilla Shakespeare Project).
On broadway, Jude was an original company member in the Tony Award winning War Horse at Lincoln Center Theater, appearing as head puppeteer in the roles of Joey, Topthorn and Goose. Off-broadway, he understudied for Ike Holter’s Hit The Wall at Barrow Street Theatre. He is deeply grateful to return home to Providence and Brown/Trinity for Playwrights Rep’s 2013 season.
