Jude Sandy (Trinidad and Tobago) studied dance and theatre at Brown University with Julie Strandberg and Lowry Marshall, graduating in 2005 with an A.B. in Africana Studies with an emphasis in Theatre Arts. He is a member of Dancing Legacy, the teaching and performing ensemble of American Dance Legacy Institute, and has performed with Yin Mei Dance in New York City and Pequeño Teatro de Danza in Providence. He helped found Oakland School for the Arts in Oakland, CA and for three years was an arts journalist with the Trinidad Guardian Newspaper.
Jude received an MFA in Acting from the Brown/Trinity Rep Consortium. Roles at the Consortium include Belize in Angels In America: Perestroika, Abdullah in Camino Real, Orestes in Elektra, Greer in Inked Baby, Simonides in Pericles and Laertes in Hamlet. Jude has also appeared on the Trinity Rep mainstage as Joseph Asagai in A Raisin In The Sun and in the ensemble of Curt Columbus’ Paris By Night, and played Walter Jackson, Jr./Psychic in Caviar or Credit at the Guthrie Theater. |
