Set in provincial California during the Mexican-American War of the1840's (just before the gold rush), this production presents an entirely new take on Shakespeare's classic comedy. Desire and honor are pitted against each other as the interests of entrenched Hispanic Dons and newly arrived Anglos collide. In a town where tongues are as sharp as swords and romance must battle both villainy and pride, love – and laughter - still flourish as Brown Theatre pulls out all the stops with Much Ado About Nothing (aka in Spanish as Mucho Ruido y Pocas Nueces).
