Please note, however, that this privacy policy applies only to the PSi #11 Web site, and not to Web sites operated by other companies or organizations to which we may link. When you link to any other sites from our site, this policy no longer applies and the organizers of PSi #11 do not control the activities of those sites. What information do you collect? If you wish to register for PSi #11 online, you will need to provide a valid credit card number and expiration date, in addition to your name, mailing address, and e-mail address. This information is necessary to process your order online and to create your registration packet and membership of PSi. We will only use personal information (such as name, mailing address, and e-mail address) contained in your e-mail to respond to your specific inquiry or comments in the e-mail or to contact you regarding your registration and membership of PSi. We will not use any personal information contained in your e-mail for any other purpose. We will only collect information to the extent deemed reasonably necessary to fulfill your requests and our legitimate program objectives. You do not need to provide personal information to the organizers of PSi #11 in order to view some portions of our site, but we do require certain information to process your registration and membership of PSi. Your contact information will be sent to the PSi organization and saved on a secure membership database. This information will not be sold or shared with other parties, but will be used to send informational emails approved by PSi. In addition, you will be placed on a PSi discussion list for all PSi members. If you do not wish to be included on this list, you may remove yourself from the list at any time by following the simple notes included in the first Discussion List email which you should save. The PSi discussion list enables you to receive and exchange research information with a large international membership of artists and scholars. Safeguarding your privacy: Who is collecting my information and how will it be used? Your credit card information is viewed and processed only by First Data and Verisign on secure servers. Brown University and/or the organizers of PSi #11 do not have access to your credit card information. The non-credit-card personal information you provide is collected by the organizers of PSi #11 to process your registration and to prepare your registration packet (including name badges and program) for PSi #11. Your information will be disclosed to Performance Studies international, but never to a third party. Opt-out If you do not want the organizers of PSi #11 to send you e-mail you can choose to opt-out and have your name removed from our database and from that of PSi. You can do so by contacting us .
