Consortium Of Rhode Island
Academic and Research Libraries
The Consortium of Rhode Island Academic and Research Libraries(CRIARL) offers a LIBRARY IDENTIFICATION CARD (Brown faculty and staff only) for the purpose of obtaining borrowing privil
eges at member libraries. If the library at your own institution does not own an item, you may borrow it from any CRIARL library that has a circulating copy.
Faculty and professional staff on continuing appointment may apply to their institutions library for a CRIARL library card. Cards are issued for a specified period and may be renewed at the issuing library. Loans are subject to the circulation rules of
the lending library. Failure to abide by the rules of the lending library may result in revocation of privileges. Certain CRIARL libraries may issue their own borrowing cards in accordance with their circulation system.
The Consortium of Rhode Island Academic and Research Libraries is a joint effort of 15 public and private libraries to plan cooperative ventures leading to improved library service for the state's academic and research libraries and for the general Rhode
Island community.
