There will be several guest speakers. At present, two are likely:

Rosemary L. Cullen is Head Special Collections Librarian and
Curator of the Harris Collection of American Poetry and Plays at the John Hay
Library, Brown University, where she is also responsible for a half-million
piece sheet music collection. 1500 pieces of that collection were digitized
as the African-American
Sheet Music Project, part of the National
Digital Library Project at the Library of Congress. Rosemary was responsible
for that grant proposal. She will offer the class a presentation that focuses
on the digital project, and we will have that session in the new multimedia
classroom (The Hecker Center) in the Rockefeller Library.
Brenda Foley is an instructor in the Department (TA 3, Freshman acting) and a doctoral student completing her degree in theatre and performance studies. She is also a professional actress. Her dissertation focuses on the phenomena of strippers and beauty contestants, which she will explore in her presentation.
