Demography Library Closed
The Demography Library, located in Maxcy Hall, will be permanently closed, effective at
the end of the day, Friday, August 27th, 2004. This branch library was created ten years ago
to serve the research needs of the Population Studies & Training Center.
The Center is moving to a newly-renovated building which does not have sufficient space for
a special library.
The Demography Library’s collection will gradually be transferred
to the Rockefeller and Sciences Libraries. Meanwhile, the collections will be
identified in JOSIAH with the location ‘STORAGE DEMOG’. To ensure there is no
service interruption, books may be paged by requesting them at the Rockefeller or
Sciences Libraries’ Circulation Desks or by telephoning 401-863-2165.
