ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Josiah, the Library's Online Catalog, is now accessible in a web version
at http://library.brown.edu. This version features urls which link directly
to networked electronic library resources. Users may also view their own
circulation records to see items which have been checked out, hold requests,
and library bills and fines. The function is accessible in all public clusters
in the libraries and from all devices accessing Josiah from the network.
Only the telnet version displays specific due dates for items charged out.
In order to use this feature, you will need the bar code number beginning
"21236" on your Brown ID card. An export function provides the
capability to print, e-mail or download individual records or selections
from multiple Josiah searches using a single export command. In addition,
the download (screen capture) function allows for outputting the records
in a form compatible with EndNote or Pro-Cite bibliographic management software.
At present, export is available only on the telnet version of Josiah on
PCs in the reference areas of the libraries or from networked devices accessing
it via telnet.
