STAFF APPOINTMENTS:
Mark E. Shelton
was appointed to the position of Sciences Reference/Collection Development Librarian, effective August 2, 1999. In addition to providing reference services, he will have selection responsibilities for engineering, mathematics, and physics. Mr. Shelton has a B.S. in Applied Math from Lyon College, and an M.A. in Library Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. As Assistant Professor of Libraries at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Mr. Shelton served as Head of the Mathematics/Statistics Library and Head of the Physics/Astronomy Library. He also served as an NLM Medical Informatics Pre-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Bart Hollingsworth was appointed to the position of Information Delivery Services Librarian, effective August 11, 1999. He is responsible for the delivery of information resources to the Brown community, for administering a document delivery service , and for managing the day-to-day Interlibrary Loan operations. Mr. Hollingsworth has a B.A. in English from Towson State University, and M.A. in English from the University of Maine, and an M.L.I.S. from the University of Tennessee. Before coming to Brown, he served as Head of Public Services at the Wadswoth Learning Resource Center, Mount Ida College, Newton Center, Massachusetts, and as Reference/Interlibrary Loan Librarian at the Fairmont State College Library, Fairmont, West Virginia.
