STAFF APPOINTMENTS:
Allynn Wilkinson was appointed to the position of Multimedia
Instructional Information Technology Specialist, in Media Services,
effective August 19, 2001. She is responsible for promoting the use
of multimedia, both on and offline, for instruction and curricular support,
and for assisting faculty, students, and staff in the development and
creation of multi-media projects. Prior to assuming her current respon-sibilities,
Ms. Wilkinson was a library school intern in Brown's Media Services,
where she assisted in the development of the multimedia lab and worked
on digitizing Nikita Khrushchev's memoirs from 350 hours of audio tape.
Ms. Wilkinson has a B.A. in Victorian Studies from St. David's University
College, Lampeter, Wales; an M.A. in Popular Culture from Bowling Green
State University; and an M.L.I.S. from the University of Rhode Island.
Christy Law Blanchard was appointed to the position of Coordinator,
Friends of the Library, effective September 19, 2002. She is responsible
for developing, planning, and implementing programs, publications, events,
and special projects for the Library and the 900-member Friends of the
Library organization. Ms. Blanchard previously served as Director of
Communications at Save the Bay. She has a B.A. in Government from Colby
College and an M.S. in Public Relations from the S.I. Newhouse School
of Public Communications, Syracuse University.
