Windows Live Academic

Windows Live Academic (beta release) indexes academic journals and content for article titles, author names, article abstracts, and conference proceedings. Each citation includes an OpenURL which sends metadata about the citation to the Library's OpenURL resolver. You will see these as "find it @ brown" links (see screenshot below). Occasionally the very long OpenURL itself appears instead of the "find it @ brown" label. Either will launch the "find it @ brown" menu to direct you to Library-subscribed or Library-owned content, or to other sources.

From off-campus, or using the campus wireless network, you will need to authenticate as a Brown user with the VPN client or EZProxy.
