Teacher and High School Student Research

K-12 Teachers and High School Students: Apply here! apply_now

Brown’s GK-12 program provides summer research training opportunities for K-12 teachers and high school students. Participants work in labs of Brown faculty and engage in cutting edge research projects in physics, engineering, and geology. Weekly meetings provide participants with the opportunity to improve communication skills, assess summer progress, make effective podium and workshop presentations, etc. Summer research participants also attend weekly tours of campus labs (for example, Rhode Island Hospital's Simulation Center). During the final week of the program, participants present their summer research through a formal mini-conference presentation attended by Brown faculty, staff, and students, as well as attendees from the teachers host schools.
