Completing this survey will contribute to a qualitative research study about the gameplay experience in music-oriented videogames. This study is being conducted by Professor Kiri Miller, from the Department of Music at Brown University. You must be over 18 years of age to participate in this study. There are no known risks if you decide to participate in this research study. There are no costs to you for participating in the study. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. The information collected may not benefit you directly, but the information learned in this study should provide more general benefits.
This survey is anonymous unless you choose to provide your name (for citation purposes) or an email address (for voluntary follow-up correspondence). IP addresses will not be archived with the survey data. Unless you choose to provide identifying information, no one will be able to identify you or your answers, and no one will know whether or not you participated in the study. Should the data be published, no individual information will be disclosed unless you have requested otherwise in your response. However, since your survey response will be transmitted over the Internet and will reach Professor Miller as an anonymous email, please note that the security of the data cannot be guaranteed.
