Lucienne Laroche French Near East ancient art expert (1929-1981), studied at the Ecole du Louvre and worked for the CNRS and at the Louvre from 1953-72. She joined the French expedition to Mari in Syria from 1966-74 and also worked at Larsa in Iraq in 1967.
