Bindu Panikkar

I have a Ph.D. in Environmental Health, and an MS/MA in Environmental Health and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University, MA. My doctoral research examined occupational health disparities among immigrant populations in Somerville, MA. Presently, I am involved in two research projects on ‘ethical and legal challenges in communicating individual biomonitoring personal exposure results to study participants’ and the ‘ethical implications of fetal tissue transplantation research’ at the Brown Children’s Environmental Health Center. I also organize a community children’s environmental health advisory board and convene the coalition on Hospitals for a Healthy Environment in Rhode Island, which works on environmental sustainability in healthcare.
