Heleneke Mulder joined the Contested Illnesses Research group when she began her doctoral work in the Fall of 2005.   She is interested in exploring variations in health outcomes between discrete communities affected by the same diseases.  Her intended course of study will include several courses in medical sociology, health policy, and quantitative methods.  She completed an MA in Applied Sociology at the University of Massachusetts, Boston in 2004.
