The 77 respondents were to question 2 were mostly growers, retailers, wholesalers, and landscapers – and in most cases they were a combination of those four. 55 (71%) were growers, 25 (32%) were retailers, 39 (51%) were wholesalers, 25 (32%) were landscapers (6 (8%) of whom were solely landscapers), 2 (3%) were importers, 5 (6%) were exporters, 4 (5%) ran a mail order operation, and 15 did another kind of business including contracting, consulting, re-wholesaling, research, and plant maintenance.
