BUCLIB

The "Bibliografia de Literatura Catalana"/"Catalan Literature Bibliography" [BUCLIB] is a fully searchable on-line database of books by major Catalan writers from the Nineteenth and Twentieth centuries, and scholarly literature written about them. It started as a small project related to a web page devoted to Pere Gimferrer. In its new version is a project developed by professor Enric Bou from Hispanic Studies at Brown University and professor Ramon Pla i Arxé from Filologia Catalana at the Universitat de Barcelona.

Other contributors to the project are Lluís Quintana i Trias , Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, and Jaume Subirana, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

The main purpose of the web is to provide access to up-to-date information about Catalan literaterature on-line. At this point the focus of the bibliography is only the last two centuries but it may expand into other periods once it is fully developed.

A special acknowledgement goes to the Scholarly Technology Group for guidance and assistance and for providing space on their server. Their inspiration and encouragement has been crucial throughout the developement of this project.
