Computation and Mathematics of Mind (CMM) is an interdisciplinary graduate student training program at Brown University focused on information processing by minds and machines under conditions of uncertainty. The program fosters the multidisciplinary mix of mathematical, computational and experimental expertise needed to carry out research across Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences, Computer Science, and Applied Mathematics. At the intersection of the three disciplines are answers that may lead to new technologies and a better understanding of human cognition. Are you interested in how humans process data, how mathematical models may explain these processes, and how computational models may implement them? Apply now. This program is made possible by the National Science Foundation Integrated Graduate Education and Research Training (IGERT) program. In addition to graduate student training, the IGERT grant provides support for postdoctoral fellows. (For a printable brochure click here.) |
