We sponsor many events to create a CMM community and foster interaction among students, postdoctoral fellows and faculty.

Ongoing events:

• Retreats

Each year we hold retreats for all CMM faculty and students. The retreats serve to inspire and cement the community, and offer opportunities for general brainstorming and planning new interdisciplinary projects. Retreats are held off-campus in a nearby conference center. Time is set aside at each retreat for an evaluation of the program by participating faculty, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

• Seminars

CMM students and faculty participate in many seminars across campus, such as the Neural Network and Vision Seminar, the Artificial Intelligence Lunch, the Applied Mathematics Pattern Theory Seminar, the Seminar on the Center for Statistical Studies and The Computer Science Colloquium.
