Parking

Parking around the Brown campus is very limited. Most of the streets around campus have 2-3 hour parking limits during the day. Please be aware that in these limited-time parking areas the city parking monitors are very vigilant, and there is a high risk of being ticketed. In the outlying residential areas, there is street parking without any time limits, but it may be necessary to walk 10-15 minutes back to campus from some of these areas. There are limited spaces available in Brown’s visitor’s parking lot. For more information about the visitor’s parking lot and parking fees, please visit the Parking Office’s Web site. Although reserved for fellows, faculty and staff, in special circumstances, there are a limited number of parking spaces that may be available in the courtyard of the John Nicholas Brown Center. Please contact the JNBC if you have mobility or other issues that would necessitate a parking space close to the Center. There is also a paid parking lot at 121 South Main Street, though the lot fills up quickly on weekdays.
