| Julie McMurry is Director of TB Vaccine Development, at the TB/HIV Research Lab, Brown University (Kilguss Building, WIH). Julie is a graduate of Rhode Island College (BA) , and has had additional training in immunology and virology at Brown University |
| Julie directs TB vaccine project which received $900,000 from the Gates Foundation (through the Sequella Global TB Foundation). She has also been instrumental in the development of vaccines for HIV (AIDS), HPV (Cervical Cancer) and HCV (Hepatitis C). She and her colleagues have emphasized the development of vaccines that are both globally relevant and affordable to the persons at greatest risk of disease. |
| Julie is also the biosafety officer and data manager of the TB-HIV Research lab. Together with software developer Andrew McMurry, she co-architected the DataCollective, designed to capture and analyze comprehensive data for a number of complex projects and experiments. Additionally, she helped orchestrate the development of the lab’s website. |
