What: Identity and Cross-Cultural Engagement: Explore identity development and cross-cultural engagement amongst college students through a psychology, social science, and humanities approach. The course will explore the importance of cross-cultural exchange and will culminate in making a video to be used across campuses locally and nationwide.
Students at Brown have expressed interests in studying how the development and exchange of external and internal identities (race, sexuality, gender, religion, class, and ability) play a significant role on a college campus. The purpose of the course is to develop a video that promotes cross-cultural understanding and encourages exploration of non self-proclaimed identities. For Spring '10.
