Harvard Kennedy School-Public Policy Leadership Conference 2010 - 9/08/2009
Brown: The Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University is pleased to announce the Tenth Annual Harvard Public Policy and Leadership Conference (PPLC). The PPLC is for first and second year undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing careers in public service. ONYX Rites of Passage Ceremony - 5/04/2009
Brown: The Onyx Rites of Passage Ceremony will be held May 23rd, 2009 at the Rhode Island Convention Center. The ceremony acknowledges the achievements of black students successfully matriculating into Brown University and earning their degrees. Rites of Passage is a form of celebration for the graduating seniors to reflect upon their achievements as students of color at Brown. During this ceremony, the senior's achievements are symbolized with stoles given during the ceremony. These stoles are to be worn on graduation day. See you there!
Detroit Real Estate Broker was the Father of Black Reparations Movement - 4/13/2009
DetNews: According to an article published by DetNews, Ray Jenkins, a Detroit Real Estate Broker was the Father of the Black Reparations movement. He wanted the government to repay blacks for slavery through educational grants and home ownership programs. More information here: Link.
