  • a working knowledge of engineering standards.

    JOB TITLE: Process Engineer

    JOB LOCATION: Parlin, NJ

    RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide technical process support to the Parlin "Cyrel" Manufacturing operation,
    with primary focus on process control improvement. Tasks will include:
  • Establish and lead implementation of control strategies for process optimization.
  • Oversight and maintenance responsibility of PLC and PC supervisory controls
    on production lines.
  • Drive optimization for web transport control.
  • Integration of advanced online instrumentation for process control,
    interrogoation and analysis
  • Responsible for oversight and maintenance of process control servers
    and SQL and Oracle databases.
  • Provide installation, support, and maintenance for"Cyrel" process
    instrumentation and controls upgrades.
  • Develop/upgrade system designs and operator interface software for PLC
    based process controls running WonderWare and Factory Link software.
    Specific control equipment includes Allen-Bradley PLC5's, VFD's, and DC
    Drive systems; IBM compatible PC's running InTouch WonderWare software
    and FactoryLink, Measurex thickness measurement systems and Futec web
    inspection systems.
    SKILLS: B.S. Engineering degree. Strong "hands on" controls
    background will be of utmost importance. Working
    programming experience in PC based control systems, and PLC
    programming knowledge/expertise on Allen-Bradley platform.
    Position will be supported by existing site engineering
    control engineer and technicians. Position will have to
    collaborate with operations leadership staff in execution
    of manufacturing related tasks. Ability to function well in
    a team with people from other work groups in order to
    achieve desired goals. Ability to develop programs and
    drive them to completion, including establishing milestones
    to monitor progress. Strong troubleshooting and problem
    analysis skills required. Experience with NT LAN
    architectures.

    The Graduate Program in Genome Science and Technology
    A Joint Program Of
    The University of Tennessee
    and
    Oak Ridge National Laboratory


    The U.S. Human Genome Project is an effort to determine the complete DNA sequence of the human genome, to identify and characterize the estimated 80,000 human genes, to store this information in databases, and to develop tools for data analysis. Knowledge of the complete genome will revolutionize the biological sciences, leading to new discoveries in the health sciences, comparative genomics, drug design, and environmental biology.

    The Graduate Program in Genome Science and Technology is new! It is designed to focus on new developments in the biological and computational sciences that stem from the genome sequencing efforts. Students will be trained in emerging areas of:
  • genome science
  • structural biology
  • proteomics
  • computational biology and bioinformatics
  • bioanalytical technologies

    The program takes advantage of the opportunity that the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory have for interaction and collaboration.
