The Club Plan offers a novel dining experience to seniors on meal plan.
Here is how Alessandra Suuberg '11 took advantage of The Club Plan: Senior year is a time for transition, and for me, the Club Plan was a perfect part of crossing the symbolic threshold from student to alumna. I would recommend this option as a great way for students to become acquainted with the Brown Faculty Club as prospective members, and to escape the bustle of college dining halls when the occasion calls for something more exclusive – treating visiting family to lunch or dinner, impressing special guests, or marking a big occasion with friends. Dining at the Faculty Club guarantees friendly service, delicious meals, and a refined but comfortable atmosphere. All of this makes the Club Plan an excellent ace up the sleeve for rising seniors.
As a Brown student, you work and study hard. You also appreciate the opportunity to relax after a difficult exam or to share a special occasion with friends. After hearing from students about their needs, we introduced The Club Plan, a meal plan add-on that makes the celebrated fine dining options at the Brown Faculty Club available to seniors. The Club Plan provides a debit account for a la carte lunch and dinner (by reservation), private parties that you host, member socials, and other benefits exclusive to Faculty Club members without the usual membership fee.
How to Sign Up
Seniors can sign up for the Club Plan when choosing a Weekly or Flex plan on the Meal Plan Contract Response Card mailed home in the summer. The Club Plan can also be added to a meal plan at any time during the academic year by coming in person to the Brown Dining office at 144 Thayer St. The 2011-12 Club Plan is $249.
Additional funds can be added to the Club Plan debit balance later in the semester by coming to the Brown Dining office. The same guidelines and deadlines apply to the Club Plan for changes and cancellations as apply to all meal plans.
