Thete turned in an inspired performance on wednesday night, taking first place in four different events to cement a huge early lead that held through the rest of Greek Week. Thete’s president, Joe Denotta described the victory as “Awesome."
AXO had a similarly stellar performance in the olympics, even beating the Fraternities in the three legged race.
This year’s Greek Week introduced a few new competitions: a “Family Feud” that challenged houses to predict the preferences of the greek community; a canned food drive that collected nearly five hundred pounds of food for the RI Foodbank, and a photo competition that had houses pose for pictures in true greek style – togas.
These new challenges gave AXO the opportunity to edge out AEPi and Phi-Psi in a closely contested second place race.
For winning the week, Thete had their letters inscribed on the new Greek Week Trophy and Greek Council made a $150 donation to There’s annual “Bench Press for Cancer.”
