After completing a very successful recruitment, the sisters of Kappa Alpha Theta welcome twenty-four new members. Sorority life at Brown had an awesome year and both houses met with more girls than either of us could have hoped for. Hosting a Viva Las Thetas themed event, a PJ Party, and a Winter Wonderland themed event, the sisters of Theta were able to meet and share their experiences about sorority life with a lot of new faces.
With our twenty-four new members, we are very excited for all of the activities and events we have planned this semester to begin. Coming up in the near future we are holding a self-defense workshop in honor of Women's Month (March), in which Brown's Department of Public Safety will be demonstrating and teaching self-defense moves and tactics to help women protect themselves in various situations. A Zumba dance-exercise class is in the works to focus on living healthy lifestyles and our Relay for Life team is also gearing up to walk on March 20th. Between study breaks and getting to know all of our new girls, the sisters of Theta are keeping busy and having a lot fun.
