First-Generation College Student Services
The Office of Student Life works in collaboration with the Office of the Dean of the College and first-generation college students to plan and implement supportive events for students and family members. Programmatic efforts include discussions, panels, and receptions during Orientation, Parent’s Weekend, and A Day on College Hill (ADOCH). For additional information contact Kisa_Takesue@Brown.edu.
Financial Aid Renewal Application Workshop for First Generation Students
Third World Center, Wed 3/11/09, 5:00 p.m.
Come join Ana Bonilla and Beth Murphy from the Office of Financial Aid in a workshop to review financial aid renewal application procedures for the 2009-2010 Academic year. The deadline to complete all application materials is 5/4/09 but take advantage of this exclusive workshop so you can work with your family to complete this obligation over Spring break! We will also provide an overview of tax returns and filling out the FAFSA, review how financial aid, billing and loans work at Brown, and answer any questions you may have about financial aid for your sophomore, junior and/or senior years! To register, please email julie_pridham@brown.edu.
NOTE: If you are an international student outside of Canada, you do NOT have to undergo the financial aid renewal application process; all other financial aid recipients do.
