Emergencies

If you have a psychiatric emergency or have been sexually assaulted or harassed, crisis support is available 24 hours a day through our on-call system at 863-3476:

Weekdays 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM: Call 863-3476 or come to 213 Rhode Island Hall. Let our Office Manager, Ms. Barao, know that your situation is particularly urgent, and she will make arrangements for you to have more immediate attention.

At night and on weekends: Call 863-3476; the voicemail message will indicate where to call to speak with our on-call clinician. Typically you will be directed to phone Health Services, at 863-3953, and ask to speak to the Psychotherapist on-call. (On the rare occasion when Health Services is closed, you are directed to the Department of Public Safety dispatcher, at 863-4111, who will contact the Psychotherapist).

In a life-threatening situation, always contact EMS, by phoning 863-4111.
