a. Elections for Social Dorm leadership should be held soon.
b. Continuation of Loft Discussion - Still in agreement that lofts are a good thing, as they provide more floor space. Issues of the best way to clarify policy on the lofting of beds and better enforce loft security. Currently there is no registration process for lofts and Res. Life's official policy on lofts is that only commercial, noncombustible lofts are permitted, adding that any modification to dorm room furniture must be cleared with Res. Life. Discussion of the best way to add something to Res. Life policy regarding cinder blocks, as well as how to better enforce and inspect for lofts for student safety. Suggestions of perhaps adding clauses to the policy of examples of things that would violate Res. Life's codes. Policy committee will draft up a recommendation for additions and changes to the policy soon.

3. Next meeting - Tuesday April 17 at noon in South Wayland Lounge

Meeting adjourned at 12:50pm.
