Residential Council Minutes :: March 22, 2005

Attendance:

Members present: Adam Deitch, Justin Glavis-Bloom, Chris Guhin, Katie Lamm, Ted Brown, Brendan Hargreaves, David Pacheco, Refai Arefin, Holly Jackson, Rachel Lauter, Olanma Okoji, Elie Rosen

Members absent: Tal Itzkovich, Vijaya Thomas, Michael Rozensher

Additionally, Assistant Directors of Residential Life Jacqueline Newcomb and Rosario Navarro were present.

Committee Reports:

Policy Committee Chair Olanma Okoji reported that there is no statistical report about how many Freshman cards are lost each year.

Program House Chair Chris Guhin reported that the controversy with DTao is under University investigation. Although they only turned in 7 bid cards, there was outside interference and Chris and Rich Bova concluded therefore that they should be allowed to persist another year. Games House, Zete and AEPi are competing for a limited number of rooms. Rosario Navarro reported that ResLife will move Games House to Olney to give them additional beds.

Lottery Committee Chair Brendan Hargreaves reported that Segment I went well. Dorm tourns on Sunday also were a success. Approximately forty people showed up to tour dorms. The Sunday we get back from Spring Break there will be a dorm tour starting at 3 PM. Segment II of the lottery will be held tomorrow night and we will meet at 5 PM in ResLife. Segment II of the lottery will be held in Salomon 101.
